Dr. Maureen Maximos

GENERAL DENTISTRY AND INVISALIGN CERTIFIED

Dr. Maureen Maximos is a 2018 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where she was on the Dean’s List and a Dean’s Scholarship recipient. While at VCU, Dr. Maximos was President of the General Dentistry Club, member of the Class Executive Board, and Orientation Chairperson. She also served as Vice-President and Historian of the SAME Multicultural Club.

Receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Rutgers, the State University, Dr. Maximos also had a Minor in Chemistry and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2014. There she was also a member of the Dean’s List, recipient of a Honor’s Scholarship and Honors College Member with Distinction.

Dr. Maximos is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. She is Invisalign trained and BLS/CPR certified.

Dr. Maximos is proficient in the diagnoses and treatment planning of complex, multidisciplinary cases and comfortable treating both medically compromised and emergency patients following her residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. 

Dr. Lara Merker

PERIODONTAL AND IMPLANT SPECIALIST

Dr. Lara Merker is a graduate of Penn State University and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey Dental School.

Following dental school, she completed her specialty training at the New York University’s College of Dentistry’s Department of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. In 2007, Dr. Merker became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Merker is a member of the New Jersey Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Association of Women Dentists, Northeastern Society of Periodontists, and the American Academy of Periodontology.

Dr. Merker has been the periodontal and implant specialist for Dentalcare Associates since 2008.

Dr. Marina Ibrahim

GENERAL DENTISTRY

Dr. Marina Ibrahim earned her BA in Economics magna cum laude from Rutgers University–Newark, followed by a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. During her training, she was one of only nine students selected for the highly competitive Community Oriented Dental Education (CODE) program, where she provided comprehensive care in a community-based setting.

Dr. Ibrahim went on to complete her residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Pennsylvania, where she expanded her clinical skills and provided care in more complex and specialized cases. There, she gained extensive experience treating pediatric patients, placing and restoring implants, and managing full-mouth rehabilitation cases, further strengthening her ability to care for patients across all stages of life. She is a member of the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

She is Invisalign certified and currently pursuing Botox certification, reflecting her commitment to providing both comprehensive and aesthetic-focused treatment.
